Words cannot describe how wonderful these Macadamia Nut Caramel Bars are.  These just jumped off the plate and into my mouth! I had no control over it.  It was like I was possessed and I just could not stop eating these!  These whip together lickty split and are about as easy as 1-2-3!   All you need is a box mix of yellow cake, caramel ice cream topping and refrigerated White Chocolate Macadamia Nut ready to bake cookies and presto you have decadence on a plate!

Macadamia nuts really are a great summer treat.  That’s not to say that you cannot enjoy them year round, but to me they really say summer.  They aren’t Hawaii’s largest import for nothing! I love the texture they almost have a buttery like feel. Bright white and full of flavor.  You just can’t pass these up!  I just can’t get over the sweet sticky caramel middle of these bars.  They are so moist and chewy and really I can’t say it enough….. To Die For Good!

As you can see I could not contain myself as I was taking the photo’s.  That big Ole’ Bite in the middle…. yep you can take dental prints…. It’s Me!  Look at that sweet oozing caramel. Yum-O! The only thing better about these bars and how they taste is how easy they are to make.  Make a batch and everyone will love you to pieces!  Not that they don’t already, this just ensures it!

Macadamia Nut and Caramel Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 package of ready to bake refrigerated white chocolate macadamia cookies

Instructions

  • preheat oven to 350
  • in a mixing bowl combine the cake mix
  • the oil
  • the water
  • the eggs and mix till batter is smooth
  • pour into an ungreased 9x13 baking dish and bake 18 min
  • remove form oven
  • melt the caramel sauce in the microwave for 15-25 seconds
  • drizzle over the cake
  • break up the cookies into little chunks and spread over the cake and caramel
  • bake an additional 20 min
  • let cool completely before cutting into bars
  • Enjoy
