Shower Season is in full swing and fun Summer Parties are just getting going. These Easy Fruit Kabobs have an amazing presentation and only take minutes to whip up!
You will attend at least one, if not many more, Showers this year. Maybe you are even hosting one. These Easy Fruit Kabobs are just perfect for a get together to honor a Mom to be or a Bride. They are beautiful and look so amazing around the pineapple.
Don’t forget all the Summer Parties and BBQ’s you will attend or host this Summer. Easy Fruit Kabobs should be on the menu each time! You can use any combination of fruit that you like. This recipe has Strawberries, Honeydew, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, and Bananas.
Here is a tip if you use Bananas: Use just slightly under ripe ones and don’t pre slice them. Just slice them as you need them for the assembly. This will help them from turning brown when exposed to air. The taste the same, they just don’t have that same pretty look.
Everyone is going to be so impressed with the presentation of these kabobs. You should place the skewers into the Pineapple empty and then thread the fruit on. This will keep a prettier presentation and keep you from getting too juicy.
Tell me you don’t think that this a beautiful centerpiece to any buffet or tablescape!
The most of the work comes from cutting up the fruit. I have horrible knife skills and I can never make uniform sized cubes of anything. That's ok as once skewered it all looks great! Pressed for time buy the fruit already cut up. It's a littler pricier but it could be worth it for the time saver.
- 1 quart of strawberries hulled
- 1 half of a small watermelon cubed
- 1 cantaloupe cubed
- 1 honeydew melon cubed
- 5 bananas (Slice as you go)
- mini marshmallows
- bamboo skewers
- 1 whole pineapple
- place skewers around the pineapple making sure to leave room for the fruit
- alternate threading the fruit on each side to keep it from falling over
- use any combination of the fruit you like
- you can keep it uniform as I did or mix up each skewer
- don't forget to alternate some mini marshmallows
