I know that I have been bombarding you with Valentine’s treats all last week but I have just one more that I have to share with you. Why? Because this is the best darned tooten Cookie I have ever tasted! Everyone knows that Chocolate and Peanut Butter are the best combination ever. Then when you add in the element of Hazelnut to the Chocolate you have a Symphony of flavors exploding happiness on your taste buds! Well ok that was a bit over the top, but you get my meaning. I think by now everyone realizes that I really like Valentine’s Day. I don’t necesarily need a heart shaped box of chocolates or an over priced meal at a crowded resturant, but I do want a little something special on that day. Some flowers, a little gift and some really good quiet time. No cell phones, kids, computers, tv just the two of us. Oh and a little special treat, something like this…
This is basically a peanut butter cookie recipe where I just swapped the peanut butter for the Nutella. Presto an amazing cookie! One word of advice CHILL this cookie dough for at least 1 hour. My first pan I only did a half hour and they looked like pancakes. So back in the fridge went the dough and they did great the next pan. These cookies are so soft and with the roll in sugar before baking they have just the perfect crunch to balance the moist cookie and then the piece d’resistance is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Heart on top! I think of all the Valentine’s treats I have made for you this past week, this cookie is the best! When Valentine’s day is over and we can’t get the cute little heart shaped candy the Reese’s mini would be perfect also. Really can anyone resist this flavor combination?
So go ahead and make your Sweetie these Cookies and see just how much Smooching you will get!

What a great idea. I really don’t care for peanut butter cookies. This is a great substitute.
