There are only 2 more days until HALLOWEEN!!! I am so excited for Halloween this year! This will be the first Halloween that Steve and I spend together in like 6 years!! I have big plans for the day! I can’t wait to see all the kiddies in their cute costumes! It will be a candy extravaganza at our house that night!! I think that you are never too old to dress up and have a good time! This year I am going to Dress up as The Widow Treat Maker. What is that you ask? Well I’ll tell you….
The Widow Treat Maker lost her husband when she was very young and she never remarried, so she never had any children of her own. This makes her very sad and lonely. There is one night of the year that she gets delight and joy from and that is Halloween! All the children come to her door over and over that night and she lavishes cookies, candies, cupcakes, and all sorts of sweet treats. She dresses up in her favorite outfit and she shines with joy. This year something went wrong with one batch of cookies. She did not get the sweet and pretty cookies that she had hoped for. Her spell for conjuring cookies had never failed her before. What she didn’t realize until it was too late was that some stray hairs from the “Bungle Beast” made their way into the dough! When she opened the oven she was taken with fright as what was in the oven was not a pretty sight!
The cookies were purple and lumpy and had eyes that could see right through your bones. The monsters were everywhere jumping and rolling the kitchen was filled! She scrambled and ran, but as much as she tried they just kept rolling and rolling. Soon the kitchen was filled! The bigger cookies were the meanest of all! They attacked the smaller cookies. Jumping on them and eating them up!She quickly responded to scoop them up! Evil or not the smaller ones needed her help. She grabbed and she scooped as fast as she could. Try as she might she could not succeed and the bigger the cookie the meaner it was. For at the end of the fray the sight to behold was horrifying scene to be sure. She was able to save only a few for most of the smaller ones ended up like this.
The Widow was shocked! She had never seen such a batch of cookies that could turn so mean. She looked to see if their bottoms were burned, for what else could have ruined such a cookie? When she saw they were not she knew what it was. The Hairs of the “Bungle Beast” were misplaced and they certainly would cause such a case! To solve the problem at hand she quickly stuffed all the cookies in her mouth she chewed and she chewed. Now they were gone and no longer would the mayhem and chaos ruin her day! The Widow wants to share her spell but leaves you with a warning… Never Let the Hairs of “The Bungle Beast” get near your dough!
